The First Year Was Never Just About College

The First Year Was Never Just About College — Swami Rutvik

A year ago, I entered college as a student.
Today, I complete my first year with experiences that extended far beyond the classroom.
This year, I had the opportunity to build, lead, and execute.
With my team, Veyora, I received a trophy at Ideathon, organised by NIAT. What happened on stage was actually a lesson in handling pressure, solving problems, and staying focused when things didn't go according to plan.
On 6 May 2026, I launched SahayakGPT. The goal was simple: help Indian students access information about exams, scholarships, and government schemes without having to search through dozens of websites.
I also attended the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi as a delegate, representing Sanjay Ghodawat University, and carried Latur with me. The experience exposed me to conversations around artificial intelligence, governance, and the future of technology in India.
During the visit, I explored both the old and new Parliament buildings. It was a reminder that while products can solve problems, institutions shape generations.
Alongside these experiences, I started Rutansh, a space where I document ideas, observations, and lessons from building, learning, and leading.
Not everything worked.
Some plans succeeded. Some failed. Both were valuable.
The biggest lesson from the year was that progress comes from consistent execution, not perfect conditions.
The first year is complete.
There is still more to build, more to learn, and bigger problems to solve.
Still early.
Still building.
