Ideathon with Team Veyora
Most people remember the trophy.
I remember the final 90 minutes.
My team, Veyora, participated in Ideathon, organised by NIAT (NxtWave Institute of Advanced Technologies). We worked through every round, refined our solution, and earned our place in the finals.
Everything was ready.
The presentation was complete. The research was complete. The team was prepared.
Then, just 90 minutes before the final round, our main prototype file was corrupted.
The atmosphere changed instantly. Stress replaced confidence. Everyone was focused on the problem.
Someone had to focus on the solution.
I took responsibility for rebuilding the prototype. There wasn't enough time to recreate everything, so we focused on what mattered most.
We simplified.
We prioritized.
We executed.
When our turn arrived, we presented the solution, demonstrated the rebuilt prototype, and defended our approach before the judges.
One thing became clear during the competition.
Ideas are important.
Execution is what wins.
We received a trophy.
The trophy was valuable, but the lesson was bigger.
Leadership matters most when things stop going according to plan.
Anyone can perform when everything works.
Execution begins when it doesn't.
Still early.
Still building.
