Executing the Gen AI Buildathon

Managing the Gen AI Buildathon at Sanjay Ghodawat University was a massive test of execution. As Execution Director of ADSA (2025-26), I was responsible for making sure that an event of this scale happened flawlessly, even though we only had three days for final preparations.

This event was a collaboration between the Gen AI Club, OpenAI Academy, and NxtWave. My focus was on coordination. When students are building AI solutions, there is no room for mistakes in management.

Seeing the energy in the hall and the quality of projects being built was the best reward. It proved that when you give students the right environment and clear directions, they can build incredible things in a very short time.

Execution is what separates a good idea from a great event. This Buildathon was all about execution.
